Whether you’ve been with the Donor Network for years, or you’re just walking in the door, these workshops will give you fresh insights about the agency and the world of donation and transplantation in general. Plus, it will give you the opportunity to meet and network with your fellow volunteers.

Topics at the workshops will vary, but over time they will cover subjects such as new volunteer guidelines, successful speaking elements, information on tabling, workplace partnerships, legislation updates, and annual strategic plans.

We hope that the workshops will help to make your experiences more productive and enjoyable.

The workshops will take place in the Large Conference Room at the Donor Network’s headquarters in Manhattan. The address is 132 West 31st Street, 11th Floor, New York, NY (between 6th and 7th Avenues).

New York Organ Donor Network Volunteer Speakers Bureau Training Workshop

Tuesday, March 11 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the New York Organ Donor Network’s headquarters, located at 132 W. 31st Street, 11th floor in Manhattan.

The New York Organ Donor Network Volunteer Speakers Bureau Training Workshop will take place on Tuesday, March 11. This workshop is for those who wish to become a Volunteer Speaker after taking our Volunteer Orientation. This workshop will enhance your speaking skills, discuss how to shape your program to suit your audience, talk about answers to commonly asked questions, and much more. New York Organ Donor Network volunteers Ted Lawson with Ike and Glenda Copperman developed this program that is an important source for donor registries and other information on organ and tissue donation and transplantation. Our Speakers Bureau is designed to educate our communities through the personal stories of volunteers. Our speakers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and sharing their message locally brings a great deal of change in the understanding and support of organ and tissue donation.
