| Our volunteers are those people
who feel comfortable sharing their personal experiences with
the media (newspaper, magazine, radio, television and the Internet).
Additionally, we need volunteers to assist New York Organ Donor
Network personnel with staffing information tables and displays
at, for example, health fairs, corporate events and shopping
malls.
Many of these activities are not formal presentations
to an audience per se, but could involve answering questions
about donation and transplantation.
Volunteers are also desperately needed for special
projects in our office. For instance, if you possess unique
creative or technical skills or you are an expert working
with databases, we especially need your help. If you have
a special talent in terms of writing, photography or drawing,
please let us know.
Maybe you have special language skills or intimate
experience with one of the many diverse ethnic
groups that comprise the New York metropolitan
area.
Certain projects may allow you to work from
home.
Whatever your talents, we can certainly use
your assistance in spreading the message about organ and tissue
donation. The most important thing is to contact us, to find
out how you can play an important part in helping us accomplish
our mission, to save more lives.
