New York Organ Donor Network Names New Members to its Board and Medical Board

New York , NY , July 14, 2004 - The New York Organ Donor Network, the OPO serving the Greater New York metropolitan area, has announced the following appointments to its board of directors:

Jean Emond, M.D. , Thomas S. Zimmer professor of surgery and vice chairman and chief of transplantation at New York Presbyterian Hospital , Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center ; and Judith A. Kovalak , clinical manager, at Westchester Medical Center 's transplant center.

Appointed to the Donor Network's medical board are: William T. Stubenbord, M.D. , chief of division of transplantation, New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York Weill Cornell Campus, who will serve as vice chairperson of the medical board and ex-officio member of the board of directors; John F. Renz, M.D., Ph.D. , College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital; Sasan Roayaie, M.D. , assistant professor of surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center; Moro M. Salifu, M.D. , assistant professor and CME activity director at SUNY Downstate Medical Center; and Wayne Waltzer , M.D. , professor and chairman, department of urology at Stony Brook University Hospital.
