Richard P. Mullane Jr.
7-24-80 - 3-6-00

July 24, 1980 was the happiest day of our lives! We gave birth to our son, Ricky, our first child. It was the beginning of so many years of happiness and joy, trials and tribulations. Rick had a smile that would go right to your heart. His love for his family was obvious right from the start. It was even more evident when, four years later, he had a sister, Kristen. He adored her, and they grew to be very close to each other, to depend on one another. He loved to make people smile and laugh, and still does!

March 6, 2000 was the worst day of our lives. We lost our beautiful 19 yr. old son. But, because of his own unselfish way, and love for others, we were able to give him his wish to donate his organs and tissue. In his own way, his life continues to help others.

Our quilt square can only give a tiny glimpse of what he is all about. His passion and knowledge of aircraft, the way he always looked up to his father, his love for Kristen, and his obsession with cows! Anything that had a cow print or picture, he had to have! His favorite saying, Carpe Diem, (Seize the Day) is tattooed on his back!

We love and miss you forever,

Mom, Dad and Kristen
