September 30 th ,2001, I chose to donate Francesco's organs knowing that to do so would be his wish. Francesco was my partner, and husband in a relationship that began in 1973.

Over thirty-five years of his career were spent in corporate public affairs, as a Vice President at Chase Manhattan and then as a senior Vice President for Federated Department Stores. He was able to improve the quality of life for thousands using the resources of the private sector and his own vast creativity. His hallmark characteristics were charm, an intense interest in people and an immense generosity of spirit. Of the hundreds who attended his funeral there were doormen, Rockefellers and a former mayor.

Our family especially misses him this year when he missed his son's wedding and the birth of two more grandchildren.

It helps us to know that through organ donation he continues to give.
