Matthew Gerard Stowell
7-10-00 - 7-20-00

Matthew Gerard Stowell lived a short life -- born July 10, 2000 and died October 20 that same year – but he gave us a lifetime of love and joy. At about 10 weeks of development, he suffered a stroke in utero that precluded the development of his brain. It was a minor miracle that he survived long enough even to be born; it was a second that his twin sister developed normally and was born healthy; it was a third that he lived 102 days after birth. We cherished each one of those 102 days, and take great comfort in knowing that, with Matthew's donation, another little boy or girl can give to others as much love and joy as he gave to us.
