Gregg's quilt square represents his lifelong career as a writer, photographer, and artist. He has always been interested in all types of art media. He has worked as a publisher, commercial photographer, graphic artist, travel writer and commercial producer, as well as purchasing a fashion house.
This book shows how he covered the "industry" of art. The picture of Gregg is a rendition of his self-portrait that he always included when signing his name. The profile is actually a letter "g" shaped like his name shows on the upper left of the square. Gold and stars remind me of him. He was an awesome and fiery man, brilliant and quick witted. His heart is a vibrant soft red; big and warm and kind. The color purple around the book is dark and mysterious, like he was. His idea of a book is metaphorical for Gregg's ability to read other's pain and to teach others; he was as open as the pages. He never got the chance to write about his adventures in life like he had always wanted to.
I hope this book is satisfactory for you, sweetheart. It's softer and sweeter than the world was to you.
